Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Torquay

The Orange Tree Restaurant

14-16 Parkhill Rd, Torquay TQ1 2AL, UK – 01803 213936

Best meal out in a very long time. The staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant was elegant and very clean. The food was quite exceptional. We had the taster menu and each course was cooked to perfection and displayed beautifully. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are a fan of quality fine dining then book yourself in for a real treat.

A beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional. On the pricey side but very much worth it.

Ephesus Restaurant Torquay

48 Torwood St, Torquay TQ1 1DT, UK – 01803 294466

Food quality is good, nice atmosphere, excellent service. Menu isn't very interesting and it's slightly over priced,.

What a truly delightful meal. How can such a small place pack such a mouthful of punch? The food was indeed an adventure, crisp to chew, munch to lick, every bite was a story to be told. Succulent, wild, exotic. I will be bAck, bossman.

Bistrot Pierre

Abbey Crescent, Torbay Rd, Torquay TQ2 5HD, UK – 01803 221213

Very busy restaurant in prime spot overlooking the town beach. On two floors and recommend getting the top floor or outside terrace. Despite being busy service was pretty slick and efficient for the most part. Wide choice on the menu and food was fresh and tasty. Portions aren't the largest but I'd prefer quality to a few extra chips. Staff all appeared to be well trained and helpful.

The food at this venue is amazing. Visited at a very busy time (it's a good idea to book!!) but the service and attentiveness was consistently first class. A group of diners adjacent to us changed their minds about where to sit three times. In spite of how busy the restaurant was, the staff quietly and politely accommodated these customers without fuss or any obvious frustration.
